Snap-on makes a killer wind up LED flashlight... has 4 radio bands, a siren and a 12V adapter you can plug a cig lighter charger into for cell phones or whatever. Believe it or not I got one at Ace hardware...

costco makes them too. They are not a great quality but function well. They come in a pack of four flashlights for 12 dollars. I bought a few packs.

You can get the shake up ones at the local hardware store. We have a couple, really come in handy all the time. Just shake and light! They are small though, and expensive, but again, worth it, we use ours a lot, it's the favorite in the household. We don't even LOOK for the battery ones anymore and keep these right up on the desk where we know where they are. We think they'd be really handy to have in your vehicles too, we want to buy a few more just for that.

I have both shake a light and wind up dynamos. Have had the shake a light for 2 years and noticed even after shaking it for over a minute the charge does not make it last long anymore. Have to shake it while its on to make it bright, hard to work on something in the dark having to to that.
Now have a waterproof LED wind up light that works well. It floats too. http://www.buy.com/prod/lifegear-wat...207552144.html Wind ups seem to be better designed IMO. |
